- In a large bowl, combine the cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions. Toss them gently to mix well.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the white vinegar, vegetable or olive oil, water, sugar, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Pour the dressing over the vegetables in the large bowl. Gently toss the salad until the vegetables are nicely coated with the dressing.
- Cover the salad and place it in the refrigerator. Let it sit for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
Notes
Use a slotted spoon to serve the salad to allow excess dressing to drain away. This salad pairs well with grilled meats, baked fish, or as a side to sandwiches. For additional flavor, consider adding fresh herbs or adjusting the dressing ingredients to suit your taste.
